Microphone and audio

StopSnoring requires microphone access when you start a sleep monitoring session. The microphone is used to listen for sounds that may resemble snoring.

Depending on the version and configuration of the app, audio may be processed on your device to identify snore-like sound events. You should review the permissions shown by your device before granting microphone access.

StopSnoring is not designed to identify people, conversations, voices, or other individuals from audio.

Sleep-session information

The app may store information associated with your monitoring sessions, such as session duration, detected sound events, alert events, dates, times, and related app settings.

Device and technical information

The app or third-party services used by the app may process technical information such as device type, operating system, app version, language, country or region, advertising identifiers, diagnostic information, and information about app interactions.

• Provide and operate the StopSnoring app.
• Detect and record snore-like sound events.
• Provide sound alerts when you enable them.
• Display your monitoring and detection results.

3. Audio privacy

Microphone access is necessary for the core snore-detection functionality. You can revoke microphone permission through your device settings, although doing so may prevent the app from performing sleep monitoring.

StopSnoring should not be treated as a medical monitoring device. Sound detection can produce false positives or false negatives, and environmental sounds may be incorrectly identified as snoring.

4. Advertising and third-party services

StopSnoring may use third-party services to provide advertising, analytics, crash reporting, or other app functionality.

These providers may process certain device, advertising, or technical information according to their own privacy policies. Where applicable, advertising providers may use advertising identifiers and related information to provide, personalize, limit, or measure advertisements.
